Hi! my name is Lauren Bamburg. I’ve been married to my husband, Dennis, for 30 years, and together we’ve raised two wonderful daughters—Victoria, married to Jared, and Olivia. We also have a lively Labrador Retriever named Jax. I’ve been teaching Talented Music in Bossier Parish Schools for 11 years, and while I love my students and my work, after raising my kids and watching them start their own lives, I found myself feeling a little left behind and ready for something new. With Dennis pursuing his dream of serving as a state representative, I realized I needed a dream of my own, and that’s when I discovered Mahjong in the fall of 2024. What started as a fun hobby quickly became a passion—a way to connect, build friendships, and create joy. I love the Lord, and I see this as a ministry—using Mahjong to bring women together, share life, and grow meaningful relationships. I’ve embraced this new season by teaching others to play Mahjong and by opening the door for connection, laughter, and faith-filled community.
